Useful links

To help with your 'navigating life safely' kit we have found the following genuinely useful.

ID Badges & travel sanitiser

For a huge range of detailed ID badges for every conceivable health condition, plus other items like clip-on travel sanitiser bottles, we particularly recommend the Hidden Disabilities Store, with its instantly recognisable sunflower logo. The website has a wealth of information and products to help people with hidden disabilities and health conditions navigate daily life more confidently and safely.

Masks

It's generally accepted that the most effective masks, which give protection to the wearer as well those around them, are well-fitting FFP3 masks. White ones are widely available on Amazon but if you prefer black then do check out The Face Mask Store. At approximately £4.99 for a pack of three they aren't cheap but while they are supposed to be disposable, in reality, unless you're in a very high-risk environment, they can be carefully sanitised, aired and re-used, thus extending their life considerably. FFP2 masks are almost as effective and a little cheaper. The Face Mask Store has a great range of FFP2s for adults and children, including coloured ones.

Mask Lanyards

Masks are only effective if they're being worn and we know from experience that if they're stuffed in a pocket or bag they tend to stay there. The mask lanyards from NAOA Design which we found to be excellent are, sadly, no longer available but a trawl around Etsy for 'face mask lanyards' will provide some similar options.
